Reds Table At South Lakes Village Center
The hidden gem of South Lakes Village Center
Good day internet world! I want to talk to you about one of Reston’s hidden gems at one of our village centers. Actually, now that I’m thinking about it, the South Lakes Village Center is a hidden secret all of its own. For those of you who are familiar with Reston and the various village centers this is nothing you don’t already know. For the rest of you reading this, many of us in the Reston area like to keep our social lifestyles active and hyper localized to our homes.
Red’s Table, where life is better at the lake
In the South Lakes Village Center we have several venues that improve our day to day lives. As I have said before, I like to walk with my youngest daughter every morning to Starbucks for a morning coffee which is a great way to start my day. Recently, we were happy to add an addition to our lineup. With a fresh new look and one of the best views you can find yourself relaxing, Red’s Table is a taste of Reston you simply have to experience. Lead by Chef Adam Stein and a mouthwatering menu Reston is learning to embrace the moto “life is better at the lake”.
Red’s Table is keeping it in local Reston
Located whereold Lakeside Inn Restaurant and Pub were located, 11150 S. Lakes Dr which closed in fall of 2013 after being a landmark to the South Lakes Village center for 22 years. Red’s Table opened Monday September 7th 2015 for Labor Day weekend. After a large renovation project the newest talk of the town restaurant is currently open for dinner, with lunch and brunch to begin the week of September 28. Brought to life from the vision of three local brothers who grew up right here in the South Lakes neighborhood of Reston. Red’s Table has over a dozen craft beers on draft, a lineup of wines and a cocktail menu that is topped only by the relaxing ambiance of enjoying your beverages on the spacious patio overlooking Lake Thoreau.
I am making a personal goal to try the complete appetizer list at some point. Who doesn’t enjoy calamari? This local restaurant has a menu list that reads more like a list I would expect to read in Georgetown or in the heart of the DC social elite.
Red’s Table has a special focus on steaks; “the old fashioned way, getting that nice high heat char on the outside,” Chef Adam Stein says—and seafood. East Coast oysters, steamed shrimp, Maine lobster and snow crab will be highlights you can find.
As a local business owner, I am looking forward to entertaining my friends and clients from time to time during happy hour. I can definitely use this to market my listings and it’s a perfect topic to mention to buyers who want that little extra for the community they are looking for in a new home. I hope to see you at Red’s Table sometime soon.
